Dr. Brian Wilner is great! Shortly after my accident I stepped into his office (though no appointment is necessary) to seek physical therapy treatment for an accident I was not at fault for. During the initial treatment assessment he asked.."Does this hurt?!!!" I shouted.." HELL YES!! ..LOL... meaning he has a good sense of humor. He is professional and comfortable to be around to discuss your medical issues without judgement. I would give him 10 STARS, if I was not limited to 5. I am a real client. Not paid for this evaluation.

Dr. Wilner is an absolutely amazing chiropractor. He is extremely passionate about his work and truly cares about treating his patients with the best care possible. He is very kind and easy to talk to and the office itself is always so welcoming and comfortable. His treatments have helped tremendously with my pain after my accident and I’m so grateful for all that he has done to help and treat me. Leandro at the front desk is also so kind and friendly and I truly appreciated my time going in for therapy because of the great environment they both created.

TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and concussion treatment begins with a thorough diagnosis and assessment to determine the severity and specific characteristics of the injury. This initial evaluation may involve neuroimaging, cognitive testing, and physical examinations. Early treatment typically includes a period of rest to allow the brain to heal, followed by a gradual reintroduction of activities to avoid exacerbating symptoms. Specific therapies may be implemented to manage pain, inflammation, headaches, and mood disturbances. Physical therapy is crucial in restoring physical function, improving balance and coordination, and reducing dizziness and vertigo.
This technology uses small clips on the earlobes to increase alpha waves to the brain. These are the brain waves produced in deep thought and restful states. Alpha stim has been shown to be very effective with symptoms of brain injury, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Low-level infrared light stimulates blood flow to the outer portions of the brain and can help accelerate brain healing. This safe and gentle therapy can be very effective at helping get your brain back on the road to recovery, as studies have demonstrated that increased blood flow can be therapeutic for the brain.
A gentle microcurrent stimulates the vagus nerve in a part of the ear called the tragus. Stimulating this nerve is particularly beneficial for headaches and other TBI symptoms.
When the brain is injured, it often affects how the eyes work, which is why dizziness, nausea, blurred/double vision, and balance problems can occur. Oculomotor exercises help to "reconnect" the eye movements to the brain and help with these symptoms.
The brain can be exercised like a muscle, which becomes even more critical after a brain injury. We utilize a computerized "brain exercise" software that is both challenging and fun while helping to improve memory, verbal recall, and other areas often affected by TBI.
Concentrated oxygen is administered while engaging in light aerobic exercise or other activity. Increasing oxygen levels in the brain has been found to be a treatment that can benefit recovery from TBI.
Heart rate variability (HRV) measures how well the autonomic nervous system responds to stress, and this is often altered following brain injury. HRV biofeedback is a therapy during which patients are connected to a sensor on their finger that is connected to a computer program that teaches them over time to control their heart rate variability. This therapy is particularly beneficial for patients experiencing high levels of stress, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, and other symptoms that occur when the autonomic nervous system is not functioning optimally.
This comprehensive treatment strategy ensures that all aspects of the injury are addressed, promoting overall recovery and improving the patient's quality of life.
